In the Summer of 2009, 13 cyclists from Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco took their fixies to the Land of the Rising Sun for an ambitious journey: a 400-mile tour from Tokyo to Osaka. Their goal (along with survival) was to experience a more intimate kind of travel and make a documentary of their adventure.
The resulting documentary takes you through the urban jungle that is Tokyo, through the rural landscape with mountains, one way tunnels and centuries old temples that seamlessly camouflage into the beautiful landscape. Their journey takes them 400 miles along the coast of the Pacific Ocean, meeting the welcoming and ever – hospitable people of Japan.
The documentary is recorded, edited and put together in a clean, professional but in a way that the viewer still feels that emotion and raw energy. A definite five star effort.
